  1. we just started using wool recently and I really like it! I bought a couple knitted covers from Natural Urban Mamas(on sale too as she's trying to clear out diapering stuff I think)

I also have one woolybottoms soaker.
The wool care is actually really easy, and only has to be done every few weeks.
On my 2 yr old, I use it over a motherease one size diaper, or a happy hempy fitted. I have also tried using it over a fuzzi bunz on my 9 month old son for added protection from leaks when we were having issues.

  2. I love my wool covers. I have a 'pull on' style from Woollybottoms that I really like. And I have two wrap style ones from Nifty Nappy.

Right now I like the ease of the pull on one better. No snaps to deal with.

The absolute best thing about wool is that you don't have to wash after every wear (unless it gets poop on it!). Just let it air dry and it's good for 2-3 weeks.

My recommendation is to find one that is made from an old sweater (like Woollybottoms) because they are cheaper than some of the others out there. But just as good.

The only leak I have had with a wool cover is when some of the prefold is sticking out and I didn't notice.

Take a leap and try one!

  3. Ok so I had posted a few days ago about wool soakers and you ladies were so awesome and helpful. I ended up upcycling 3 diapers from goodwill sweaters myself off patterns I found on the Internet. I had so much fun. I just finished applying lanolin to them and I can't wait to use them! Thank you so much!
